West London Man Jailed for Six Years Over Guns and Drugs Bust

A Southall man has been slammed with a six-year jail sentence after pleading guilty to possession of deadly firearms and drugs in west London.

Shock Arsenal Found Hidden in Ceiling

Marcus Mascall, 31, was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court for a string of offences including possession of a prohibited sawn-off shotgun, ammunition while banned, Class A cocaine, and Class C steroids.

Police swooped early on Saturday, 11 January at 3:35am, executing a search warrant at Mascall’s address. Officers from the Met’s South West Basic Command Unit uncovered a frightening cache concealed in ceiling panels of a communal corridor: a sawn-off shotgun, 90 cartridges, plus a blank-firing Glock. Alongside the weapons, Class A and C drugs were also seized.

Investigation Uncovered Clear Evidence

Mascall, who was remanded in custody the same day, later admitted guilt on Thursday, 2 July. Trident detectives from Specialist Crime led the probe, linking Mascall to the haul through DNA and fingerprint evidence.

“This operation led to firearms and ammunition being taken off the streets of London. I have no doubt that the firearms recovered would have been used to cause serious or even fatal injuries,” said Detective Constable Kai Murray from the Met’s Specialist Crime South.

“Firearms have absolutely no place on our streets and the removal of these makes London a safer place for all.”
