Man Admits Manslaughter in Fatal London Stabbing
Jean Marc Dable, 25, with no fixed address, pled guilty to manslaughter at the Old Bailey on Friday, 6 November. He will be sentenced on Wednesday, 11 November.
Originally charged with murder, Dable stabbed 26-year-old Dylon fatally after a music event in converted garages at Telegraph Mews, Seven Kings.
Fatal Fight Erupts After Music Gig
Police were first called to Telegraph Mews at 6.10am on Sunday, 24 November, following reports of a group brawl. No one with stab wounds was found there.
Shortly after, officers rushed to Ilford Lane where they discovered Dylon suffering knife injuries. Paramedics took him to hospital, but he died at 12.36pm.
A post-mortem confirmed death from a stab wound.
Violence Flared as Groups Clashed
Dable and Dylon had both attended the event without incident. But as they left, a disagreement between their groups spiralled out of control.
Dylon tried to calm tensions, but despite attempts to hold Dable back, he lunged and stabbed him.
Dable, also injured and hospitalised, was arrested on suspicion of murder on 30 November and later confessed to carrying a knife concealed between his buttocks — a habit he admitted to.
Detective Slams Knife Crime
“Dylon’s life was taken in a brutal fashion,” said Detective Inspector Adam Callaghan. “Dable will now spend a significant time in prison, no longer threatening anyone.
“Dable chose to carry a knife, and as we sadly see too often, that choice ended the life of a young Londoner.
“Dylon’s family are devastated and will struggle to find comfort as they grieve.”
“I thank the investigation team for their relentless work securing a conviction.”
