Serial Nuisance Parvez Latif Locked Up for Anti-Social Spree

Parvez Latif, 47, from Ensbury Park Road, Bournemouth, has been handed a jail sentence after a relentless spree of anti-social behaviour near the Co-op on Columbia Road.

Eight Weeks Prison for Theft and Threats

On 23 March 2021, Latif appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court. He admitted theft, using threatening and abusive language to provoke violence, being drunk and disorderly, and breaching a section 35 exclusion order.

His crimes included hassling shoppers, begging in the streets, making threats to a woman, and stealing chocolate bars from the shop—offences happening between 23–28 February 2021.

The court handed Latif an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, plus a restraining order banning him from Columbia Road for a year.

Breaking Orders Leads to Immediate Arrest

Latif didn’t stay away for long. Just days after the restraining order was issued, police arrested him on 2 April 2021 for causing a public nuisance while intoxicated on Columbia Road—breaching the order.

He appeared in court again on 3 April and was sentenced to an immediate eight weeks behind bars.

Police Warn: Nuisance Will Not Be Tolerated

“Parvez Latif’s repeat anti-social behaviour and offending has had a considerable impact on the local community,” said PC Joy Atkins of the Northbourne and Wallisdown team.

“The restraining order is in place to protect residents and deter him from further trouble. We want this case to serve as a warning—serious consequences await anyone who continues causing a nuisance.”

The restraining order stays active after Latif’s release. Police urge locals to report any breaches immediately.
