Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on Pembury Road
Tragedy struck at 9.15pm on 6 August 2020 when Anthony Gower, 52, was found dead on Pembury Road. The dad suffered fatal injuries in a road traffic collision. A nearby dog was found safe and unharmed.
Driver Flees Scene, Arrest Made Next Day
The driver involved sped off, leaving Mr Gower’s body behind. Police acted fast and arrested Terry Gruber the very next day. The 39-year-old Hull man was bailed amid a complex probe.
Charges: Careless Driving & Perverting Justice
On 6 April 2023, Gruber was charged with causing death by careless driving and perverting the course of justice. He’s set to appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on 6 June on bail.
