Teen Stabbed to Death in Abbey Wood Street Brawl

Tragedy struck Abbey Wood on Saturday evening when an 18-year-old was fatally stabbed during a fight on Edington Road.

Police and Ambulance Respond to Scene

Officers rushed to the scene at around 5:34pm after reports of a violent altercation. They found the young man with a stab wound to his chest. Despite efforts from the London Ambulance Service, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation Underway, No Arrests Yet

His family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. Formal ID is still pending. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the probe, and a crime scene remains sealed off.

Detective Sergeant Michael Hartley said: “A young man has lost his life in the most tragic circumstances and officers will work round the clock to bring those responsible to justice.”

“We are still in the early stages of the investigation and I would ask anybody who was in the area yesterday evening – or who has information about the attack – to contact us immediately.”
