Unlicensed Driver Busted Drug Driving in Southampton

Aaron Cosgrove’s wild ride came to a crashing halt last November 25 in Lords Hill.

The 31-year-old was caught behind the wheel of an Audi A4 with cocaine and Benzoylecgonine—cocaine’s nasty breakdown product—in his blood. To make matters worse, Cosgrove doesn’t even have a driving licence.

Cosgrove Faces the Music in Court

At Southampton Magistrates’ Court, the Abercrombie Gardens man admitted:

  • Two counts of drug driving
  • One count of driving without a licence
  • One count of driving without insurance

Penalty: Ban, Fine, and More

The court hit Cosgrove with a one-year driving ban and fined him just £54.

On top of that, he was slapped with a £95 victim surcharge and forced to cough up £40 court costs.
