Man Busted After Breaking Into Home, Smashing TV and Assaulting Cops
A brazen burglar has been arrested after causing chaos in a Ruskin Grove home last Monday, June 27.
Uninvited Visitor Sparks Trouble
The suspect, known to the homeowner, reportedly knocked on the door before barging in uninvited. Once inside, he smashed a television and made off with stolen goods.
Arrest Turns Ugly
Police swiftly responded and tracked down the man. But the drama didn’t stop there — the suspect allegedly assaulted two officers during both the arrest and while at the police station.
Charged and Locked Up
Harry Smith, 28, of no fixed address, now faces a slew of charges including burglary, criminal damage, two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, and breaching a restraining order.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 29, and has been remanded until his next hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday, July 7.
