Man Brutally Attacked Outside Kent Bar in Early Hours
Kent Police rushed to the Social Chill Bar on Week Street at 1.30am on Sunday, 5 November 2023, after reports of a vicious assault. A man was punched by an attacker who was reportedly holding a glass or bottle. When the victim fell to the floor, he was repeatedly kicked.
Suspect Nabbed and Charged
Officers quickly tracked down and arrested the suspect near Broadway. The victim was rushed to hospital with head injuries but has since been discharged.
Chay Hart Faces Serious Charges
Chay Hart, 34, with no fixed address, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 6 November. Hart has been remanded in custody ahead of a maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone Crown Court hearing on Monday 4 December.
