Man Busted After Brazen Burglary and Car Theft in Sheerness

A 46-year-old man was snapped up by police following a messy break-in and car theft in Sheerness.

Forced Entry Sparks Quick Police Action

Kent Police rushed to a property on Leysdown Road after a burglary was reported at 12:11pm on Wednesday, 23 November 2022. The culprit had smashed his way in and made off with a car.

Suspect Caught Red-Handed

Officers spotted the suspect, Peter Behun, roaming nearby and swiftly arrested him. The stolen vehicle was found close to the scene.

Multiple Charges and Court Date Set

Behun, who has no fixed address, faces several charges including burglary, stealing a motor vehicle without consent, drunk driving, and criminal damage after allegedly spitting in a police van. He’s been remanded in custody ahead of his Medway Magistrates’ Court appearance on Friday, 25 November.
