Knife Arrest After Early Morning Scuffle in Beech Road
Kent Police swooped in the early hours of Saturday, 22 June 2024, after reports of an incident on Beech Road.
Suspect Detained With Knife
Officers arrived promptly and detained a suspect at the scene. A knife was recovered during the arrest. It is alleged that two police officers were assaulted in the process.
Charges Filed Against Darren Cattell
Darren Cattell, 41, from High Street, Sheerness, faces serious charges. He has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place and two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker.
Court Date Set for July
Cattell has been bailed and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 18 July. Police continue to urge the public to come forward with any information related to the incident.
