Swindon Man Caught in Crack Cocaine Sting
Kenneth Cox, 45, of Urchfont Way, Swindon, was found guilty of supplying crack cocaine three times. The jury at Swindon Crown Court delivered the verdict on 17 November.
Undercover Cop Snaps Up Drugs
Between 5 and 7 November 2019, Cox sold Class A drugs to an undercover officer named Dylan in Swindon. Wiltshire Police’s Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) uncovered his one-man crack cocaine operation. After gathering further intelligence, officers arrested Cox in January 2020.
Police Praise Tough Sentencing
“This result reflects Cox’s serious role in the drug trade,” said Det Sgt Phil Hines from SOCU. “He denied everything throughout, wasting public time and money with his arrogance and obstructiveness. The judge took note of that.”
“Our message is clear: if you deal illegal drugs, we will find you and your network. Drug dealing damages whole communities, not just users.”
