Man, 52, Stabbed to Death in Blackpool Street Violence
Mark Gibson, 52, died early Monday after suffering fatal stab wounds on Carshalton Road, Blackpool. A post-mortem confirmed the stabbing as the cause of death, Lancashire Police reveal.
Four Charged Over Murder
Police have charged two men and two women with Mark’s murder. They are:
- Stephanie Steele, 38, of Gorton Street
- Stephen Pugh, 40, of Chapel Street
- Tina Walton, 43, of Boothroyden
- Shaun Neil, 42, of Boothroyden
All are due to appear at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court this Thursday.
Two More Held in Connection
Alongside the four charged, two other men remain in custody:
- A 33-year-old Blackpool man, arrested on suspicion of murder
- A 53-year-old Blackpool man, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender
Police Praise Public, Boost Patrols
Detective Chief Inspector Jane Webb thanked locals for their “tremendous response” to the police investigation. She urged anyone with information to come forward, promising “an increase in patrols in the area” to keep the community safe.
