Dash Cam Footage Sought After Fatal Folkestone Crash

Police are hunting for dash cam or private CCTV footage following a deadly collision in Folkestone.

The crash happened at around 10.40am on Tuesday, 6 August 2019, at the junction of Bellevue Street and Dover Road. A blue Ford Fiesta collided with two pedestrians.

Man, 76, Dies After Collision

One pedestrian, a 76-year-old local man, suffered a head injury and sadly died in hospital on 11 August. The other victim, a woman in her 60s from Folkestone, escaped with minor injuries.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Sergeant Peter Greaves from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:

“We have spoken with several witnesses and have a good understanding of what happened. However, we urgently want to see any dash cam or private CCTV footage that could help our investigation.”

He added: “If you filmed the incident, please contact us immediately.”
