Bognor Man Found Guilty of Sexual Chats with Child
Bognor Regis, UK: Sacha Dixey, 47, has been convicted of sending explicit messages to a 13-year-old girl online. The disturbing case unfolded after a thorough probe by Sussex Police.
Dirty Deeds on Social Media
Between 10 and 22 November 2021, Dixey chatted with a profile clearly marked as belonging to a 13-year-old on a popular social media app. Posing as a 39-year-old London man, he sent several selfies — including a naked one — coupled with lewd comments.
Arrest and Trial Drama
Police traced the online abuse back to Dixey’s home in Mayfield Close, arresting him on 30 November 2021. He was hit with charges of sexual communications with a child and arranging sexual offences. Dixey tried to pin the blame on a lodger, but usernames linked directly to one of his associates crushed his defence.
After a four-day trial at Lewes Crown Court starting 28 October, the jury found Dixey guilty. He faces sentencing on 12 December at the same court.
Police React
“Dixey was prepared to use the names of his associates rather than admit his guilt. He is now a convicted sex offender,” said Investigator Rose Horan.
