Four Teens Found Guilty of Murder in Shocking Postcode Violence
Tragic Deaths of Two 16-Year-Old Boys
Four teenagers have been convicted of murder following a brutal attack that claimed the lives of two boys, Charlie Bartolo and Kearne Solanke, both aged 16. The heinous crimes took place on November 26 last year and involved a violent clash between rival postcode gangs.
Postcode Rivalry Turns Deadly
The trial uncovered that the savage killing of Charlie Bartolo was sparked by a fierce postcode feud between Abbey Wood and a neighbouring area. The gang entered Abbey Wood hunting for a victim. Charlie and two friends were riding motorbikes on Sewell Road when a car deliberately rammed Charlie, throwing him into the pavement and leaving him helpless.
Knife Attack Horror on the Streets
Three attackers—Kearne Solanke, Alagie Jobe, and a fellow 16-year-old—jumped out and launched a vicious assault with large, sword-like knives. The attack lasted under a minute but was merciless. Even after Charlie was down, the violence continued relentlessly. Kearne stumbled while retrieving a dropped knife, only to continue the savage attack moments later.
After the brutal assault, an emergency 999 call was made from Titmuss Avenue, Thamesmead. Despite swift medical response, Kearne Solanke tragically died that evening at 6:16 pm.
Sentencing Set for Next Month
The four teenagers face sentencing next month as a heartbroken community reels from the devastating impact of this postcode violence gone horribly wrong.
