Arrest and Charges for Peter Budd
Peter Budd, 57, who has no fixed address, was arrested later that day. He now faces a string of charges: intentionally or recklessly causing a public nuisance, three counts of assaulting emergency workers, and using threatening, abusive or insulting language to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
Next Court Date Set, Traffic Delays Warned
Budd appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court the next day and was remanded in custody. His next hearing is scheduled for November 5. Meanwhile, police urged drivers to avoid Eastern Road during the incident due to significant traffic disruption.
