Brighton Man Convicted of Sexually Abusing Three Girls

James Quinto, 31, from Kingswood Street, Brighton, has been found guilty of sexually abusing three girls over several years around 2010. Shocking details reveal Quinto began offending when he was just 10 years old, continuing into his 20s.

Disturbing Offences Spanning Childhood to Adulthood

  • Victims ranged from seven to 18 years old at the time of abuse
  • Quinto charged with multiple serious sexual offences, including assault and penetration of girls under 13
  • Arrest followed a 2021 report when a woman came forward detailing childhood abuse

Further reports from two other women uncovered similar abuse, with one alleging repeated rape as a child. Quinto faced nine charges at Lewes Crown Court on 25 March, including six counts of penetrative sexual activity and sexual assault.

Justice Served but Sentencing Pending

Quinto was found guilty of most charges but acquitted of rape and two assault counts. Sentencing will take place at a later date after necessary reports are completed.

“James Quinto isolated his young victims, but they have shown incredible strength to come together and ensure he faces justice for his crimes,” said Detective Constable Hannah Elmer.

“If you are a victim of sexual offending, no matter how long ago, please report it to the police. We will listen, we will support you and we will do everything we can to get you the justice you deserve.”
