Brighton Man Jailed for 8 Years Over Shocking Child Exploitation Crimes
Neil Schooley’s Sickening Abuse Exposed
Neil Schooley, 55, from Woburn Place, Brighton, has been sentenced to eight years behind bars for horrendous offences against young girls. Schooley was found guilty of taking indecent images and causing or inciting sexual activity with children aged under ten and between ten to thirteen years old. These vile acts occurred between 2016 and 2018, leaving lasting trauma for the victims.
Brave Victims Helped Bring Paedophile to Justice
The nightmare began when one courageous girl reported that Schooley asked her to undress and pose for explicit photos. Just two days later, he exposed himself to her in a terrifying act of sexual harassment. Her family immediately alerted the police, prompting a thorough investigation.
During the inquiry, another victim bravely came forward. She revealed how Schooley supplied her with alcohol and pressured her to undress and take pictures. The sick abuse inflicted on these vulnerable girls highlights the danger he posed to the community.
Justice Served at Hove Crown Court
Schooley denied all charges but was swiftly found guilty at Hove Crown Court in July. The judge handed down the maximum prison sentence of eight years. In addition, Schooley has been placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register and slapped with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. This legally bars him from contact with children and vulnerable people.
Police Praise Victims’ Bravery, Urge Reporting
“The bravery shown by these victims was vital in securing justice,” said Detective Constable Joe Murray from the Safeguarding Investigations Unit. “We urge anyone who suspects abuse to report it immediately — help protect children and vulnerable people from harm.”
