The Jury: Murder Trial Returns for a Gripping Second Series
The smash-hit first series of The Jury: Murder Trial blew critics away and smashed ratings for Channel 4. Now, the second series is set to dive even deeper into real-life courtroom drama—with a twist.
Same Evidence, Different Verdicts?
Produced by Screendog Productions, the new series will follow the same thrilling format. Two randomly assigned juries will watch reenacted trials based on verbatim court transcripts. The big question: will both juries reach the same verdict after hearing identical evidence? And how will jurors feel about their decisions once deliberations are over?
“As a small company that make big ideas, we are over the moon that The Jury is such a smash hit and will be returning for the next series,” said Ed Kellie, Creative Director at Screendog Productions. “We’re looking at cases now, and it promises to be another nail-biting and twisty path to verdict, raising genuine questions about how to make our system fairer.”
What to Expect from Series Two
