Belvedere Man Busted Over Chatham Burglary and Car Theft
Police have charged a Belvedere man after a brazen burglary and car theft in Chatham. The crime happened overnight on Saturday, 14 September 2019, when car keys were stolen from a home in Mayweed Avenue.
Stolen Car Used for Fraudulent Spree
The thief didn’t stop there. The car, taken from outside the same house, contained a bank card that was then used in several fraudulent purchases on 15 September. Daniel Mills, 35, of Ripley Road, Belvedere, was swiftly arrested and charged with burglary, theft, and fraud.
More Charges and Court Dates
Mills was also slapped with charges of driving whilst disqualified and without insurance. He was remanded in custody and appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 16 September 2019. He is set to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, 14 October 2019.
