Construction Worker Jailed for 31 Years Over Horrific Child Rape Case
Monster Bradley Martin Sentenced
Bradley Martin, 29, a construction worker from Bexhill’s Chandler Road, has been slammed with a 31-year sentence for repeatedly raping a three-year-old between April and October 2022. The horrifying abuse surfaced when the child’s mum spotted injuries and rushed her tot to hospital.
Damning Evidence Found on Phone
Police swooped on Martin on October 26, 2022. His phone revealed chilling searches like “how do police know if something has been penetrated?” and “how many years for sex offenders in Bexhill?” Even more damning, officers found 127 illegal images of extreme pornography involving both humans and animals.
Justice Served at Hove Crown Court
Charged with three counts of raping a child under 13, Martin initially pleaded not guilty. But on July 3, the jury found him guilty of all charges. On September 29, he was sentenced at Hove Crown Court to 23 years behind bars, plus an extra eight years on extended licence. He will also remain on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life and is subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, barring him from any contact with children or certain digital devices.
Detective Praises Victim’s Bravery
“The courage shown by the victim and their family throughout this difficult ordeal has been remarkable,”
said Detective Constable Kelly Yates of Hastings’ Safeguarding Investigations Unit. She added, “We have taken every step to ensure Martin never harms the public again.”
