Brutal Corby Murder: New CCTV Released as Police Hunt Husband on the Run

Harshita Brella Found Dead in Ilford Boot

Detectives are desperate for answers after 24-year-old Harshita Brella’s body was discovered in the boot of a car in Brisbane Road, Ilford, east London. The grim find came early on Thursday, November 14, following a missing person alert launched the night before. Harshita, from Corby, vanished days earlier, sparking a frantic search.

Husband Pankaj Lamba Now Fleeing the Country

Harshita was last seen on the evening of Sunday, November 10, at her home on Skegness Walk, Corby. Police believe her husband, 23-year-old Pankaj Lamba of Sturton Walk, murdered her that night. They suspect he then drove her body over 100 miles to Ilford in a silver Vauxhall Corsa on November 11 before ditching the car and fleeing abroad.

A postmortem at Leicester Royal Infirmary confirmed strangulation as the cause of death.

New CCTV Shows Husband and Getaway Car

Police have now released fresh CCTV footage capturing the silver Vauxhall Corsa and Lamba in Ilford. Detectives urge anyone who saw the car or Lamba between November 10 and 11 to come forward.

Detective Chief Inspector Johnny Campbell said:

“We are following numerous lines of inquiry and working closely with our partners to secure justice for Harshita. The CCTV images provide critical details about Lamba’s movements, and we urge anyone who saw the vehicle or Lamba to contact us immediately.”
