London Teen Gets 11 Years for Fatal Dartford Knife Attack
Brutal Stabbing in Dartford Town Centre
A London teenager has been sentenced to 11 years for manslaughter after fatally stabbing 18-year-old Denzel Njemo in Dartford. Chris Enaruba, 19, attacked Mr Njemo during a disturbance in the town centre, stabbing him in the chest.
Attempt to Cover Tracks Fails
After the attack, Enaruba tried to hide the evidence by discarding his jacket and the knife near an electricity sub-station. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but tragically, Mr Njemo died there.
Enaruba himself went to Darenth Valley Hospital for treatment of his own injuries sustained during the incident.
Police Crack Down and Court Verdict
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate launched an investigation, recovering the discarded items. On 15 April, Enaruba and an associate were arrested in Gillingham. Enaruba was initially charged with murder but denied the charge.
His associate was found not guilty of assisting an offender.
Justice for Family
At maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone Crown Court, Enaruba was sentenced to 11 years in custody, plus a four-year licence period.
“Today’s sentencing will hopefully offer some comfort to Mr Njemo’s parents and his wider family, so they feel some justice has been gained,” said a senior officer, acknowledging the “needless loss of a much-loved son and brother.”
