Needle-Wielding Robbery Attempt on High Street
A man has been charged with attempted robbery after allegedly threatening a woman with a surgical needle in broad daylight on Rochester High Street.
David Bignall, 39, reportedly demanded cash from the victim inside a property at around 8am on Tuesday 1 June 2021. The terrifying incident left the woman fearing for her safety.
Swift Arrest and Court Action
Bignall was arrested the same morning on suspicion of attempted robbery. Following a hearing at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 2 June, he was remanded in custody.
Next Stop: Maidstone Crown Court
The accused is set to face Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday 30 June to answer the charges against him.
