Knife-Wielding Robbery Shakes Kent Nightspot
Chaos erupted in Kent on Saturday night, November 13, as a man went on a threatening spree at two popular bars before attempting a knife robbery just minutes later.
Threats at Skuba and Blue Martini Bars
Around 10.50pm, police were called to the Leas area after reports emerged of a man acting aggressively in both Skuba Bar and Blue Martini Bar.
Knife-Point Robbery in Dark Alley
At 11.25pm, things escalated when the same suspect targeted a man in his 30s in an alley near Marine Parade. The victim was threatened with a knife and robbed of cash.
Suspect Description and Police Action
- Suspect: White male, short brown hair
- Clothing: Grey Adidas jumper, grey tracksuit bottoms
- Carrying: Large JD Sports bag
A 33-year-old Folkestone man was arrested on suspicion of robbery, firearm possession, knife possession, and making threats to kill. He’s now out on bail until December 8.
Police seized a BB gun and a knife during their hunt.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers want to hear from anyone out near Leas or Marine Parade that night who witnessed the trouble or was approached by the suspect but hasn’t yet come forward.
