Armed police swooped on Newark Close in Noctorum on the evening of December 18 after reports of gunfire rocked the quiet neighbourhood.
Man Injured and Two Arrested Over Shooting
A man suffering an arm injury turned up at hospital but has since been discharged. Meanwhile, two local men aged 22 and 23 were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and firearm possession. They remain in custody as detectives grill them.
Police Urge Public to Help Tackle Gun Crime
Detective Inspector John Mullen said: “Our drive to remove firearms and those who choose to use them remains ongoing. I would continue to appeal for anyone with information about this incident, or with knowledge of who is carrying weapons or where they are being stored to contact us.”
