Two Arrested Over Brawl Caught on Camera in Chatham High Street

Man Nabbed for Affray and Attacking Emergency Workers

On Wednesday 4 August 2021, cops arrested a 30-year-old man from Sittingbourne on suspicion of affray. He also faces two charges of assaulting emergency workers during the same incident.

Second Man Held the Next Day

The following day, Thursday 5 August, a 28-year-old from Gillingham was also arrested on suspicion of affray. Both arrests relate to a brawl caught on video and shared online, which happened on Monday 5 July at around 5pm on Chatham High Street.

Cops Are Calling for Witnesses

Police quickly responded to reports but the suspects fled before they arrived. After a thorough investigation with local partners, officers identified and arrested both men. They have since been released while inquiries continue.
