Woman Injured in Dartford Assault as Suspect Arrested in London
Serious Attack Rocks Heath Street
Kent Police rushed to a home on Heath Street, Dartford, at 3.51pm on Saturday, 19 March 2022. Emergency crews found a woman badly hurt. She was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital. The victim remains in a serious condition with injuries to her spine and chest.
Investigation Leads to Arrest in Greenwich
Just hours later, in the early hours of Sunday 20 March, officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate swooped on a property in Greenwich, London. They arrested a suspect known to the victim.
Man Charged With Grievous Bodily Harm
23-year-old Sebastian Birzu, of Heath Street, Dartford, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 22 March. Birzu was remanded in custody. His next court date is set for Woolwich Crown Court on Tuesday 19 April.
