Man Hurt in St Ann’s Knife Chase
Police rushed to Hutchinson Green, St Ann’s after reports a man was chased and injured on the street. The victim suffered a leg injury and needed hospital treatment following the incident at around 4.05pm on Friday, 11 November.
Suspect Charged Over Knife Attack
Ramone Campbell, 25, from Rose Close, St Ann’s, has been charged with affray and possession of a bladed article. He’s set to appear at nottingham/" title="Nottingham" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 14 November.
Earlier, officers also arrested two men: a 25-year-old on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and a 23-year-old on suspicion of affray and carrying a knife. Both have been bailed under strict conditions.
Police Crack Down on Knife Crime
“This was a very serious incident that resulted in a man requiring hospital treatment,” said Detective Sergeant James Hirst of Nottinghamshire Police. “We condemn all forms of violence and won’t tolerate this kind of aggression in our communities.”
“Knives have no place on our streets. Carrying one only puts people at greater risk, including themselves. It’s just not worth it.
“We have charged a suspect but investigations are ongoing.”
