The arrest came days after Sussex Police issued a public appeal on November 14, sharing an image of the suspect they wanted to identify. The incident, which happened on November 9, sparked outrage and was captured in a viral video shared widely across social media.
The man remains in custody as detectives continue their investigation.

Sussex Police warned the attack could stir tensions locally. They are working closely with community groups to keep the peace and reassure residents.
