Two Charged with Attempted Murder After Hoxton Street Shooting

Gunfire Rocks Hoxton Street

Adam Meragan, 24, from Camden, and Abderraouf Hocine, 18, from Hackney, were arrested after a shocking shooting on Hoxton Street, N1. The incident happened around 2:20pm on Tuesday, 24 November when a firearm was discharged in broad daylight.

Serious Charges Laid

Both men now face serious charges: attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. Meragan also faces charges for driving while disqualified and without insurance. Meanwhile, Hocine was hit with an additional charge for possession of cannabis.

Victim Treated and Released

A man suffered a minor hand injury and went to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.

Court Appearance Scheduled

Meragan and Hocine are due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, 26 November, while held in custody.
