Kettering Horror: Man Arrested After Tragic Deaths of Woman and Two Children
Mr Chelavalel, from Petherton Court, Kettering, was arrested at 11:15am on Thursday, December 15, after police were called to his home. Officers found Anju Asok, 35, and two young children, Jeeva Saju, 6, and Janvi Saju, 4, suffering from serious injuries.
Despite desperate efforts from paramedics, police, and hospital staff, all three tragically died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Asphyxiation Confirmed as Cause of Death
Forensic post-mortem examinations at 1 Royal Infirmary confirmed all three victims died due to asphyxiation. Mr Chelavalel is set to appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 19.

“Our thoughts continue to be with Anju, Jeeva, and Janvi’s families, for whom we are determined to seek justice,” said Detective Inspector Simon Barnes.
“Incidents like this are deeply distressing. I want to thank everyone who responded to the 999 call, and those involved in the investigation, for their professionalism and respect.”
