Hammer Horror on Regent Street: Man Charged After Brutal Attack
Morteza Ahmadi, 38, with no fixed address, faces a string of serious charges after a violent spree on London’s Regent Street.
Brutal Assault and Sex Attacks
- Ahmadi is charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent.
- He also faces two counts of actual bodily harm.
- Two counts of sexual assault by touching of women over 16 have been brought against him.
- Police seized an offensive weapon – a hammer – from the suspect.
Incident Details
At 10.54pm on Friday, 1 October, police rushed to reports of a man attacking people on busy Regent Street, W1.
Four victims were found injured:
- Three women aged in their 20s, 30s, and 40s.
- A man in his 50s.
All were taken to hospital and later discharged.
Sexual Assault Allegations
One of the injured women, along with another woman who was at the scene but unharmed, reported being sexually assaulted during the chaos.
Ahmadi is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 4 October.
