Brutal Bolton Attack: Man Left with Fractured Jaw and Skull
Two thugs launched a savage, unprovoked assault on a man waiting for a taxi in Bolton. The attack happened around 4pm on Wednesday, February 17, on Newport Street.
Violent Assault Over Cigarette Refusal
The victim, a man in his 30s, was approached by two men in their 20s. One offender asked for a cigarette. When the man refused, one attacker charged and kicked him. Both then unleashed a brutal 30-second barrage of punches and kicks.
The pair fled the scene, leaving the victim badly injured. He required hospital treatment for a fractured jaw and skull.
Police Seek Public Help to ID Attackers
Police Constable Jonathan Liversage of GMP’s Bolton district said: “This was a violent and seemingly unprovoked attack that has left a man with serious injuries and incredibly shaken. Thankfully, he is recovering well.”
Officers have released images of the two suspects and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
