East Grinstead Assaults: Police Keep Options Open as Victims Treated
Two Men Attacked in Broad Daylight
Detectives are probing the mystery attack on two men in East Grinstead on Tuesday, April 14. The victims were found injured on Moat Road at 1.33pm. One suffered a mouth injury, while the other received a serious head wound.
The man with the head injury was airlifted to hospital, where his condition on Monday evening was reported as stable and not life-threatening. The second victim was taken by road ambulance. Both were conscious and breathing upon leaving the scene.
Was a Gun Involved? Police Investigate
Detective Chief Inspector Emma Vickers addressed swirling rumours: “We are aware of reports that a gun may have been involved. We are waiting for more details on the injuries and witness statements to confirm the facts.”
Suspects Flee in Grey Fiat 500
Police say up to four suspects fled the scene in a grey Fiat 500. Officers are urgently trying to identify these individuals and locate the car. “We believe this incident involved six people in total,” DCI Vickers added.
