Gun Fired Into Air Sparks Multi-Address Raids Across London!
Chaos on Brockley Rise
Police were called to Brockley Rise SE23 at 9.62pm on Monday, 12 December after reports of a tense scuffle involving a group of males. One suspect was seen firing a gun into the air, causing panic among locals.
Officers scrambled to the scene and carried out a thorough search of the area, but the suspects had vanished without a trace. Thankfully, no one was reported injured in the incident.
Early Morning Armed Raids Shake London
Fast forward to the early hours of Thursday, 23 February, when armed police launched a major operation. Seven addresses across London were raided in a proactive crackdown related to the December incident.
The high-profile operation was handled by armed officers due to the serious nature of the investigation.
Four Men Arrested and Charged
Four men were arrested during the raids and face multiple charges, including possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of ammunition with intent, and violent disorder. The men are:
- Caner Sayanolgu, 32, of High Street, Bromley
- Jim Reka, 38, of Verdant Lane, Lewisham
- Mirjan Hasanmeja, 35, of Verdant Lane, Lewisham
- Asif Khan, 32, of Wilson Road, Southwark
Next Stop: Croydon Crown Court
The accused appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 24 February. All four were remanded and are due to face Croydon Crown Court on Friday, 24 March.
