Strood Drug Bust: 19-Year-Old Arrested with 40 Deal Bags
At 10.26pm on Sunday 17 September 2023, police on patrol stopped a motorist in Strood for a traffic offence. But it didn’t end there.
Suspicious Search Uncovers Drugs and Cash
Officers suspected the car was carrying drugs. A search under the Misuse of Drugs Act revealed 30 to 40 deal bags hidden inside a larger bag, along with a large sum of cash.
Joshua Penfold Charged with Supplying Class A and B Drugs
Joshua Penfold, 19, of Church Street, Hoo, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and ketamine, plus acquiring criminal property.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 19 September, where he was remanded in custody. Penfold is due back in Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday 17 October.
