Ruthless Drug Dealer Busted and Banged Up for Five Years in Swindon Police Sting
High-Speed Chase Ends in Dramatic Arrest
On November 7, Swindon cops got wise to dodgy goings-on at Orbital Retail Park. They spotted 25-year-old Oscar Webster acting suspiciously and peddling drugs. The Devizes man took off on foot but didn’t get far.
Webster, already on a suspended sentence for cocaine supply, tried to ditch his phone, car keys, and jacket in a desperate bid to cover his tracks. But the police were hot on his heels and quickly nabbed him.
£1,300 of Coke and Cash Found in Car
A search of Webster’s car revealed a hefty stash of cocaine worth over £1,300. The stash also included £400 in cash and several phones tied to his drug operation across Wiltshire’s towns — proof of his deep involvement in the trade.
Repeat Offender Sent Down for Five Years
Webster pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine at Swindon Crown Court on December 12. He was handed 44 months for the new offence, plus 16 months activated from his suspended sentence. That’s a total of five years behind bars.
Acting Sergeant Sam Young said: “Webster is a repeat offender who clearly hasn’t learned his lesson. He tried to flee but was no match for the LPTT.” He added, “We’re pleased he’s been jailed, and we’ll keep cracking down on those bringing harm to our streets.”
