A 17-year-old from Bersted sparked chaos on Friday, November 17, after police spotted a stolen vehicle. The teen ignored police attempts to stop on the A259, leading to a dangerous high-speed chase.

Crash Ends Dangerous Ride

The chase ended in a collision on Chichester Road when the stolen car smashed into another vehicle. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.

Drugs, Charges, and Court Sentence

Officers found drugs inside the stolen car, which were seized on the spot. The teenager was arrested and charged with dangerous driving, driving without a license, and intending to supply a Class A drug.

“He admitted all charges at Worthing Youth Court on November 23,” court officials confirmed.

The youth was sentenced to 24 months in a detention centre, received a two-year driving ban, a £41 victim surcharge, and must pass an extended driving test before getting back behind the wheel.
