Witnesses reported hearing three gunshots, initially mistaken for fireworks, before chaos erupted in Vine Close, E5. One neighbour recalled “carnage and chaos” as screams echoed down the street. Floral tributes now line the scene, a grim reminder of the community’s grief.

Another neighbour, Mahir, called Lianne a “very nice lady” and revealed whispers that she might have been protecting someone during the shooting — not the intended target herself.

Three Victims, One Fatality – Emergency Services Respond

The shooting happened around 6:28pm on Tuesday, 5 December. Police and paramedics found three victims with gunshot wounds. Despite their best efforts, Lianne was pronounced dead at the scene. A 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy are in hospital, their conditions currently unknown. Family liaison officers are supporting Lianne’s grieving relatives.

Investigation Underway – Police Vow Justice

Detective Superintendent Vicky Tunstall expressed her condolences, saying, “This shocking incident has resulted in the death of a young woman and my thoughts are with her family at this incredibly difficult time.” She also sent sympathies to the two injured victims.
