Man Charged with Multiple Child Sex Offences in Woolwich Court
Robert Wain, 58, from Victoria Street, Gillingham, Kent, has appeared at Woolwich Crown Court facing a string of serious sexual offence charges.
Grim Charges Laid Against 58-Year-Old
Wain is charged with:
- 6 counts of rape of a male under 16
- 1 count of rape of a male aged 16 or over
- 18 counts of indecent assault of a boy under 16
- 1 count of attempted indecent assault of a boy under 16
Man Pleads Not Guilty, Next Hearing Set
Wain pleaded not guilty to all charges during Thursday’s court appearance. The next hearing is scheduled for 19 November at Woolwich Crown Court.
Victims and Timeline
The alleged offences happened in the 1990s around Woolwich and Eltham and involve six victims.
Wain was first arrested on 12 February following a probe by the South East Safeguarding team. He was arrested again on 23 April and formally charged on 10 September.
