Tragic Multi-Car Crash Claims Man’s Life on A13 Thames Gateway

A deadly smash on the A13 Thames Gateway near Ferry Road, Rainham, in the early hours of October 29 has left a man in his 40s dead. The horrific multi-vehicle collision happened just before 6am.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

The London Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service were quick to arrive. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are now trying to trace his next of kin.

Road Closures and Police Investigation Underway

Thankfully, no other serious injuries have been reported. But the crash has forced road closures around the Ferry Lane Interchange. A forensic tent has been set up as officers carry out a detailed investigation.

One Arrest Made for Death by Dangerous Driving

One person has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. The police are continuing their inquiries and urge anyone with information to contact them on 101 or via ‘X’ @MetCC, quoting CAD1688/29Oct.
