Man Stabbed on Railway Street – Suspect Arrested
At 11:17 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, a man was found with a stab wound on Railway Street, Kent Police confirmed. The victim was rushed to a London hospital and is now in stable condition.
18-Year-Old Charged Over Stabbing
Later the same day, Ahmed Moborat, 18, from Byron Road, Gillingham, was arrested. He has since been charged with wounding and possession of a bladed article in public.
On June 17, Moborat appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court and was remanded to Maidstone Crown Court for a hearing scheduled on July 15.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
“Our officers continue to investigate the incident,” said PC Catherine Barker of Medway CID. “We urge anyone who witnessed the attack or has dashcam or CCTV footage from the area to come forward.”
