Four Held in Hounslow Post Office Heist That Netted £136k
The Met Police have cracked down hard, arresting four suspects in connection with a daring robbery at a Hounslow post office earlier this year.
£136,774 Stolen After Staff Locked in Safe Room
On Friday, 30 August, a man allegedly forced a staff member into the safe room before making off with a whopping £136,774.44. Witnesses say the thief then locked both employees in a back room and snatched the CCTV hard drive before speeding off.
Major Conspiracy Uncovered—Four Arrested
Detectives uncovered fresh evidence suggesting this wasn’t a one-man job but part of a wider criminal ring. Coordinated raids by specialist officers led to the arrest of two men, aged 38 and 65, and two women, 39 and 44, all suspected of:
- Conspiracy to steal
- Conspiracy to possess criminal property
- Conspiracy to pervert the course of justice
One suspect, aged 65, was picked up on Friday, 27 September. Another man had already been charged in connection with the case.

“We know our communities stand firm with us against the use of firearms and support us in our efforts to tackle robbery,” said Detective Inspector Ari Yoganathan, who’s leading the investigation. “We are committed to reducing crime that impacts our communities and keeping residents, businesses, and staff safe.”
This bust is part of the Met’s wider crackdown, “A New Met for London,” aimed at slashing robbery and firearm crime while fostering police-community trust.
