A crash on the A500 slip road at Etruria Valley Junction sent one car flipping onto its side and another onto its roof at around 3.30pm on Thursday.
Emergency Services Rush to Dramatic Crash
Two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car, and a North Staffs BASICS Emergency Doctor all raced to the chaotic scene.
Four People Hurt, Two Taken to Hospital
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman revealed: “We took two patients to Royal Stoke University Hospital from the car that was on its side. An elderly man was rushed in on blue lights, while a woman suffered less serious injuries.”
A middle-aged man trapped in the car on its roof was checked out and later discharged at the scene.
Notably, a Good Samaritan who stopped to help the crash victims suffered a minor injury but was treated and sent on his way.
No Injuries from Third Vehicle
The ambulance teams confirmed no one from the third car needed medical attention.
