Man Jailed for Bloodied Break-In in Horsham

A shocking incident in Horsham has ended with a 14-month jail sentence for Kristopher Everitt, 40, after a disturbing break-in that rattled the local community.

Blood-Soaked Intruder Terrorises Home

On Monday, January 30, 2023, around 6pm, Everitt unlawfully entered a property on Peary Close. The 40-year-old, who has no fixed address, arrived with his hands covered in blood. In a gruesome twist, he smeared the blood onto a resident’s face and t-shirt, sparking panic among those inside.

Neighbours Step In to End Chaos

The situation escalated quickly until other residents—who knew Everitt—demanded he leave the premises. Before he made his exit, Everitt caused damage to a fence on Cook Road, adding to his list of offences.

Pleased Guilty, Sentenced at Brighton Magistrates’ Court

Everitt was soon caught and brought to Brighton Magistrates’ Court. He pleaded guilty to criminal damage and common assault. On Monday, January 22, the court handed down a 14-month prison sentence, closing the case on this disturbing episode.
