Man Stabbed in Tunbridge Wells: Arrest Made

Kent Police were alerted around 5.30pm on Thursday, August 18, after a man suffered stab wounds at a property on Upper Grosvenor Road. The victim, in his twenties, managed to drive to nearby Belgrave Road before calling 911 for help.

He was rushed to hospital and is now in stable condition.

Suspect Arrested Over Attempted Murder

Three days later, on August 21, 44-year-old Kojo Ohene was arrested in Croydon, Greater London, in connection with the stabbing. The Crown Prosecution Service has charged him with attempted murder. Reports indicate the suspect and victim knew each other.

Ohene, from Upper Grosvenor Road, Tunbridge Wells, appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 22, where he was remanded in custody.

Second Arrest Made, Then Released

The day after the attack, a 35-year-old man from Ashford was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. He has since been released pending further investigation.
