17-Year-Old Boy Injured at Hawley Road Traffic Lights
At around 12.20pm on Monday, 17 May 2021, a car smashed into a 17-year-old boy crossing Hawley Road near Oakfield Lane traffic lights. The youngster suffered a broken leg and was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.
Driver Flees Scene Without Leaving Details
Investigating officer PC Andrew Hoodless revealed the driver, a woman, stopped briefly but then fled before exchanging information. “We haven’t identified the driver yet and urgently need her to come forward,” Hoodless said.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
“Anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage is asked to contact us immediately,” Hoodless added.
