Police are on the hunt for witnesses after a man was viciously slashed at a motorway service station near junction 8 of the M20.

Man Slashed in Shocking Late-Night Attack

The victim suffered nasty cuts to his arm and chest between 11pm and 11:25pm on Friday, 3 October 2025. He was walking away from the Days Inn Hotel when an unknown assailant struck out near the Esso petrol station in a sudden, unprovoked attack.

Police Release Suspect Description

Officers say the attacker is a white male, around 6ft tall, sporting stubble and dressed in dark clothing. Witnesses report he spoke with an Eastern European accent. The victim managed to limp back to the hotel before police were alerted. He was taken to hospital but has since been released.

Police Plea: Did You See the Attack?

“We are continuing enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident,” said PC Megan Lovelock. “The area is well-lit and busy with cars and lorries at that time. Someone may have captured the attack on phone or dashcam.”
