Singh nabbed with stash of Class A and B drugs
Jami Singh was busted by Southampton’s High Harm team on 25 February 2020 during a stop and search in Proctor Close. Police found a haul of Class A and B drugs stuffed in his pockets.
Search uncovers more drugs worth nearly £4,000
Officers raided Singh’s home in Tatwin Crescent and discovered further drugs and items linked to supply. The haul included heroin, crack cocaine, and cannabis, with a street value totalling £3,990.
Singh jailed for 28 months
On 26 March 2021, Singh pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of Class B cannabis. This Tuesday, Southampton Crown Court sentenced him to 28 months behind bars.
Police vow to keep cracking down on drugs
A spokesperson said, “We are determined to tackle drugs and related crime, keeping our communities safe. This conviction shows our continued commitment to disrupting drug dealing in Southampton.”
Residents urged to report suspicious drug activity via the online portal or by calling 101. “Every tip-off helps us build intelligence and catch offenders,” police added.
